Here's a GREAT article on K9 Nosework -

K9 Nose Work: Channeling Your Dog’s Natural
Instincts into a Fun Activity
Dogs have an amazing sense of smell and a natural desire
to hunt.  The activity and sport of K9 Nose Work® is
designed to develop your dog’s natural scenting abilities by
designed to develop your dog’s natural scenting abilities by
using their desire to hunt and their love of toys, food and
exercise.  It’s a great way for your dog to have fun, build
confidence, and burn lots of mental and physical energy.
To participate, your dog:
        Must have a nose!
        Be able to sit in your car while other dogs are taking
their turns.

Please DO bring your dog to this class (unless you are
observing only).  There will be active training at this class!
For further preparation, dogs will need a non-correcting
collar (buckle or quick snap) and a light 6 foot leash.
(Gentle leaders and Easy Walk harnesses will not be
allowed as they impede the dog’s forward motion.)
Bring plenty of soft, high value SMELLY treats in tiny
pieces - (salmon, tuna, liver, hot dog) in a treat bag.

You may also use this form to register for the Advanced
Nosework classes if your dog has completed the
Introduction to Nosework (Nosework I) class.
